Working as sysadmin, I sometimes needed to access specific service outside our network but was stopped by company firewall. Another time, I wanted to connect with SSH... but all I had was internet kiosk without permission to install needed software. So it occurred to me it would be good to have somewhere terminal emulator accessible by plain web browser. Thanks to Anyterm and Ajaxterm projects to made it possible!
SimpleShell was started by idea to make such emulator available for anyone without need to awkwardly register or reach for credit card.
